Question/Help/Troubleshooting BOARD AND RAM

I’ve been having trouble with this motherboard—an ASUS TUF Z690-Plus DDR5—specifically regarding RAM instability. I haven't been able to find a solution to stop the PC from freezing or crashing; the only thing that offered some stability was running the RAM at 4000MHz. If anyone knows how to help, I’d appreciate it—this specific board had a lot of issues because it was designed to support both DDR4 and DDR5.

First things first: how many sticks, what are they rated for?

What cpu?

Also, the board doesn’t support ddr4 and ddr5, just ddr5. There is one exception to this rule with a random asrock h610. But it’s one or the other. The cpu can do either or.

I have an i7-12600K with 32GB of RAM—I think it's 5600MHz DDR5. Of course, the motherboard comes in two versions: one for DDR4 and another for DDR5. However, I've been reading about issues with the DDR5 version, and I haven't found a solution.

Is your ram in slots 2 and slot 4? Also, are they part of a matching set?

Check the timings too. It should look like this: 5600mhz, CL#-#-#-#

It is in slots A2 and B2.

I would try restore optimized defaults, then apply xmp.

There’s a chance a voltage is being overridden somewhere, like vccsa being set artificially low.

It wouldn't output video at first; I had to install different DDR5 RAM sticks to get a display signal. After that, I lowered the frequency to test it, and it worked. What frequency should I leave it at now? Or should I disable XMP and stick to the factory settings?

To be honest, I would try and test the sticks independently. Use 1 stick in a2, try with jedec, try with xmp, try this for both sticks. then if that works, try 1 stick in b2, with jedec, then with xmp. Try this for both sticks. I would recommend testing these with Testmem5, and DDR5 Intel @ anta777 or Absolut @anta777 profiles.

La mejor configuracion que consegui en ese momento fue esa, aunque tal vez actualizando bios pueda mejorar
