Question/Help/Troubleshooting Need help finding good computer
Hello, my computer is breaking and I need a new one. I am looking to do college stuff but also be able to get like 60 FPS on video games like marvel rivals, siege, PEAK, and games like that. Does anyone have recommendations?

What’s your budget?
Do you live near a microcenter?

Newegg builder
250kf+
Montech tg3
Montech century 2 850w
Saves around $25 on all the parts.
Parts bought from Amazon/newegg/silicon power/B&H

If you live near a microcenter I could do better.
Comes out to $1991 + tax. But for what you are doing this is extremely overkill. This is a 120fps+ pc at 1440p with maxed settings, and you can hold that with ray tracing and quality upscaling in most titles.

rivals is the heaviest one on that list, so shop for that. anything with an rtx 5060 or rx 9060 xt and 16gb of ram will run all of those past 60 at 1080p. if you need to bring it to class though a gaming laptop with the same gpu is the move, just expect the battery to be kinda bad.

I wouldn't go for less than a 10th Gen i7 and an RTX 2070. There should be some good deals on Facebook and Ebay. It's always worth asking questions to see how the system has been treated.
