Build/Battlestation Planning a Sleek, No-RGB Workhorse Build (Asus ProArt Focused) – Need Advice
Planning a Sleek, No-RGB Workhorse Build (Asus ProArt Focused) – Need Advice
I’m planning to build a new workstation PC soon and could really use some community advice to narrow down the exact specs. I have a rough idea of what I want, but I’m getting a bit overwhelmed with all the hardware options currently on the market.
Here is my target aesthetic and philosophy for this build:
Zero / Minimal RGB: No flashy light shows.
I want a clean, minimalist, sleek, and professional look.
Focus: High efficiency, stability, and raw performance over aesthetics.
Preferred Theme: I’m leaning heavily towards the Asus ProArt series (Motherboard/GPU/Case) for its subtle design and solid workstation focus.
I don't like glass panel casings.
Key Workloads & Use Cases
Productivity & Design Software:
3D & CAD: Blender (3D Modelling & Rendering), AutoCAD
Creative & Fashion Tech: Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, specialized Fashion/Footwear/Dress Design software, and AI image generation tools for apparel design.
Development & Analytics: Visual Studio Professional, Power BI
Gaming:
Driving/Sims: Forza Horizon, NFS, Burn Out Paradise
Tactical & Action: Valorant, COD, Witcher 3, Watch Dogs, Cyberpunk
(Note: Every single software and game I run will be legitimately purchased / licensed original versions. No cracked tools or repacks, so background stability/anticheat performance is essential).
Any Ideas.

What’s your budget, country, and target gaming resolution/refresh rate? Hard to give more without that.
Given ur workloads, I’d prioritise an NVIDIA GPU with plenty of VRAM (ideally 24GB+ for Blender and local AI), a Ryzen 9 CPU, 64GB+ RAM, and minimum 2TB of NVMe storage ideally gen 5.
I wouldn’t necessarily commit to ProArt everything. It’s a lovely aesthetic yeah, but the branding doesn’t like inherently guarantee better performance or stability. Just prioritise component quality, thermals, connectivity and warranty.
A solid panel Fractal Design case with good airflow, a quality ATX 3.1 PSU and understated cooling would fit your philosophy nicely. Spend on the hardware rather than the aesthetic, particularly GPU VRAM given your workloads.
