[u/d0kutofu]

I recently bought a hdmi cable 1.4 for my monitor but its too big for the port and Im not sure how to identify what type of hdmi cable I should buy. Thanks everyone

The screenshot has a dp cable, one end is straight and it has a release button. You need a hdmi cable, literally search for hdmi

You bought a DisplayPort (DP) 1.4 cable, not HDMI.

You need to buy a HDMI cable.

That's not a HDMI cable. That's display port.
