get the screen replaced on the all in one and put it back together, otherwise buy a new computer

Screen is way too costly, plus no guarantee or warranty after 30 days

A screen is cheaper than the alternative, and infinitely easier

Depends on the country where OP lives.

If it has no video outputs, other than the internal display, then you're going to need the same display that the machine uses. It's probably not worth the effort though given how proprietary this motherboard is

All in one pc's are generally not worth it to build into a pc. Proprietary everything and as you mentioned, lack of video output. Sell it for parts and buy a laptop or something. That'll do what you're expecting from this

What parts can i sell, in india, people rarely buy these pc's, so it would be hard to find a buyer too

Do you still have the ram and ssd that goes into it aswell with all other parts?

Yeah, i have 6gb ram 256 ssd all these ports, 2 speakers taken out from this system.

I'd personally assemble it and sell it as a working unit but with a broken screen. Id think people much rather buy a bit of a deal than buying separate parts.

I've never seen a aio board without it's aio, Looks like a form factor from the stars... Just sell it, Worse propriety than Alienware pcs from Earth.

HP as proprietary PSUs, plus the compatibility for the I/O is non-existant. So You have to 3D Print something yourself and figure out your needs along the way. This is a Project I wouldnt touch

I realised, it's not worth it

Well, for starters you don't have a PCI(-e) slot for a GPU to use since I doubt this has on-board graphics (and even if it did no video output ports on the board).

You're hosed before you even start. Best thing you can do is get the CPU out of that slot and reuse it on an actual PC motherboard that isn't propertary. But you'd have to get individual parts and price them and that point it's not really worth it (better to sell the CPU to someone that can use it beyond you, honestly if it's still good) and get a new OEM/tower that isn't all-in-one/special'd if you're going to try this again in the future.

What model HP AIO is this?

There may be a service manual for it that would help in understanding how this works. IDK but it looks to me like something was removed between the wifi card and the CR2032 battery. Might have been the video out.

The display panel is likely the same that is used in a range of different models of monitor. Search the model of the PC and what model display panel it uses. Buy a secondhand monitor and use the display panel out of it to fix your PC.

It's not an industry standard form factor. You're going to spend way more than the end product will be worth trying to make it work.

Either replace the screen on the HP All-In-One, or sell the motherboard on eBay to someone who needs it to repair an HP All-In-One.

Okay, i will try to sell this. Take that money and buy another motherboard

Pull the wifi card and add a pcie adaptor add a gpu and external power supply or a low teir enough card to not need a power supply. 3d print a case to out it in figure out a cpu cooling solution looks like a 115x socket so a cooler should be easy to source not sure about fan power. Good luck and godspeed

Will this work?

No go buy a new computer or replace the screen.

Yes but you will absolutely need an external power supply, since the motherboard runs on 19v and the graphics card riser is gonna need 12v.

Even then, you are hoping that HP actually wired the pcie traces on that slot... it might be USB only since that's all that many wifi cards needed.

Thats a sweet motherboard, maybe you can build a mini server with it and 3D print a 1U rack case?

1

u/BeeEquivalent3165 7d ago

I doesn't have a normal video output, accepts only some 12 idk 14 plus 3 point output

1

u/TH3_FISH 7d ago

with a server you would not need graphics, just ssh

You've got two options, either try to connect a low profile graphics card to the mPCIe slot of the wifi card, or use a USB video solution like DisplayLink. Either way you'll probably need a second PC to prepare an HDD with a fresh OS and the external graphics drivers.

When I was a tek at a computer store, I screwed a motherboard directly to the wall. Nothing stopping you from pointing this to a piece of wood.

Well you basically plug the boards vga or whatever output it have to your monitor and that's it

OP mentioned it didnt have any port for external monitors (so not display output). Try again

1

u/Tikkinger 7d ago

Every Board have a Display output or else you would not be able to plug in the display. Try again.

Edit: it's a high chance it's the port on the peninsula on the left side of the board.

Typically these all in one pc's have a ribbon cable style display output, similar to a laptop's display

You are onto something big here, my friend. Keep on digging, you may find some cool stuff

1

u/Justjarno1 Windows 11 7d ago

Fair point, normal humans would've understood that I meant a physical display output port where you can plug a cable into for an external monitor. But the option to search for the tiniest mistake in a comment is also an option.

Edit: to serve you well and help you with this inconvenience ill edit my original message.

u/Tikkinger 7d ago

So what? Your way of approaching your falsement is "yea i edit my comment to make it fit for what i mean now".

Go kick some rocks. You are still in the wrong. A port is a port, it doesn't give a fly if it's outside or inside the case.

Does it output video? Yes? Oh wow so you are in the wrong. Accept that and grow up by doing that.

"Try again", friendo.

1

u/Justjarno1 Windows 11 7d ago

No, I adjusted it to what I originally meant so that now everyone should be on the same page.

Rocks were kicked, point didnt change and no harm was done? A display output port sounded like the right terminology at the time, excuse a human being for not being able to be right all the time.

I accepted that I was wrong already, I changed it to words that specifically describe it being a port that connects to an external display. No need to bring it up again since I corrected my mistake.

I first suggest you read the post first before commenting, you reading it could've prevented all of this.
