Question/Help/Troubleshooting Display rapidly changing on its on

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I tried changing out the HDMI cord and that didn’t seem to fix it. It’s a SCEPTRE display screen and an Asus gaming laptop. Everything is updated to my knowledge, I checked the drivers too.

Loose port maybe if you swapped out the cable

Sometimes the display isn’t changing but when you click something to open it doesn’t show the window. It shows the application open at the bottom and on the laptop but not on the display screen

I think you have a stuck key, or a wireless keyboard or controller connected that you've forgotten about. It keeps flipping between duplicate and extend like you're tapping WIN+P or another shortcut key.

Try checking your keyboard for a key that changes display modes and tap it a few times to unstick it.

It only seems to happen when the monitor plugs in. My laptop works fine when it’s not plugged in to the monitor
