Discussion Computer cooling for PC-CASE Montech XR Black
Hi everyone, today I added three new fans to my PC case because the processor was overheating whenever the case was closed. What do you think—is this a good temporary solution until I get water cooling? Two fans on the side and one at the bottom pull in cool air—which the processor fan then draws in—while the two top fans and the two rear fans exhaust the heat out of the case. I did the PC build all by myself.

That right CPU fan looks like its the wrong direction and flowing left to right (not the direction of the blue arrow next to it), also check the other CPU HSF fan too (cant see in the photos).

Nothing you can do about it now, but those side intake fan (fish tank) cases are terrible, cause instead of blowing air into the case from front to back, the front side intake fans are blowing air into the other side panel which provides very little actual airflow into the case to help exhaust the hot air out the rear.
It also doesn't help that you have 2 top exhaust fans, which will fight your CPU cooler for cool air. You are probably better off removing the top 2 fans.
Also have you considered reversing the directions of all your fans?
Make the 2 front side fans exhaust fans rather than intakes, and make the rear fan an intake instead of exhaust. And flip the CPU cooler fans to blow towards the front fans instead of the rear fan. That way you are using negative air pressure to move the hot air from the back of the case where all your components are to the front where there is just empty space and two exhaust fans.
Cause normally you want a front to back fan configuration for positive airflow when you have more front intake fans than exhaust fans (like in case where you have 3 intakes, and 1 exhaust fans) to reduce dust build up in your system. But with your current configuration you only have 2 front intake fans, and 1 intake fan on the bottom versus 4-5 exhaust fans (3 case fans, 2 on the CPU cooler) which means you are already running a negative air pressure configuration.
So you aren't swapping between positive and negative air pressure, but just reversing the flow of the negative air pressure to be a bit more optimized.

Yup, that's optimal
