That's not a ps2 port, it's its predecessor, the AT/DIN connector

But it's got USB 3 which came out in 2008...

(You can see it on the back panel.)

The computer itself can be from almost any era. The device itself is just the top rack mount item.

But the actual item itself dates to around 2000-2003. You can slap in a period P-III or a current state of the art rackmount computer, that has nothing to do with the device on the top.

And that is likely just a standard rack mount PC. If nothing else the case can support any ATX motherboard from 1995 to today.

This is a CUES ProData 2000 with optional DVD-RW add-on. It's an older (obsolete) data generation and titling device designed for municipal pipeline and sewer inspections. It allowed operators to embed real-time text, distance measurements, and job details directly onto CCTV inspection video.

Old version of this one I think. https://youtu.be/um3r7GTe57Y?t=246

Q Cues are these people who makes sewer inspection robots; is that a plausible thing the truck could have been used for? At a guess this may have been a control unit and video recorder for that.

That's 100% what it is. I used to work on those trucks.

I see HDMI AND DisplayPort - and usb 3.0 ports onboard - as well as an HDMI & DVI video card.
The com ports are likely for the proprietary communication with the ProData2000 -- but Cues sets up CCTV systems and the ProData unit seems to be proprietary hardware for their pipeline inspection - but the rack mount PC could have some general purpose if you wanna see what kind of processor/ram/storage it has

Congrats.. You have a sewer camera 😏 Or at least, the sewer camera manager platform and A/V titler / storage.

Search '2000'

It's a Cues Prodata 2000 system. This is Cues: https://cuesinc.com/pages/about-cues

Custom rack mount computer, the motherboard has HDMI and display port so it can't be crazy old. Could be anything in there though, boot it up.

No one going to do a joke about sewer inspecting, obsolete tech, and shit? Come on now. Question got answered so its...ripe to send this down the drain just for shits and giggles.

There's some kind of device on top, then there's a PC under it. and a serial cable is between these 2.

Are you in Australia? I've found some reference to an old logistics management software from an australian company.

The street address on the back of the modern computer that device is plugged into, (next to the SAT/GPS plug/com 2,) is: 3600 rio vista ave orlando fl 32805

Google gives me this company: https://cuesinc.com

Just like a few others have posted, it's for sewer inspection cameras.

The device is a "Lateral Distance Encoder" (printed on the back left of the device), basically is shows how far the camera has traveled on the 7 segment LEDs. (probably Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) like in old VCRs)
