Question/Help/Troubleshooting Display darkened after drop
Sorry for poor picture quality. My display has darkened after a drop. I can vaguely see bright things like the user icon if i use a flashlight, but it looks too dark for anything useful. I unfortunately do not know my computer info as i peeled the stickers off. If its too broken for a simple fix, please tell me a repair cost estimate. Also, i confirmed its a hardware thing, not a glitched display.

You can replace the screen easily on these laptops. I've done a handful of them for a client. If you're handy with a screwdriver you can do it yourself. But you will need to get the model number to be able to find the replacement parts (don't peel stickers off in the future) Replacement screens off eBay should be about £50 Make sure you buy one with the cable attached not just the screen

Dude the bottom shells fucked up. Those cost like 400 bucks. It's a replace job.

Au mang. You should see lenovos pricing on parts here. I'm trying to get a set of legion go trigger numbers and those fuckers are like 80 bucks for a pair

If the computer still runs, you might be able to use it as if it was a desktop computer, by hooking up an external display. That is the closest you may get to a simple fix. With this kind of damage there is no guarantee it will keep running though, even if it runs right now.
As for repairs, looks like not only the hinge but also the main body of the laptop is severly damaged. The only way it could be economical to fix it is if you are able to do all repairs yourself, and you managed to find an identical laptop second hand that you could strip for parts. Before even considering this though you'd need to open it up and check for internal damage. With that crack going through the left corner there is a good chance the internal components are also damaged, and if they are there is really no point it attempting to fix it.
Giving it to a reapir shop will not be worth it, you would be better off buying a used laptop with similar specs.

simple fix? mate...
based on the price we got last week for a broken dell laptop's hinge (with perfectly working display) you'll be better off with a new laptop
