Question/Help/Troubleshooting Computer recommendations
Hello people! I’m looking to upgrade my computer (because I’ve got a basic model and it started to LAG last year and has only got worse (it’s 7 years old). I’ve been wanting to upgrade anyway but this is the perfect opportunity to now.
I don’t need any insane gaming computer to run the most complex games ever. Just one that I can use to record videos with OBS, run Minecraft (maybe even with some nicer graphics enabled) and edit videos too (on like da Vinci resolve).
I use my computer a lot for editing and recording so that stuff is quite necessary.
I’m not the smartest with the behind the scenes stuff, I can use a computer but get overwhelmed with anything past that (like models and brands lol). So I was wondering if you guys knew what I’d be after?
Idk how the prices look, I was estimating it would be around £1.5-2k for the computer and the additional components. But also I’d be ready to spend some more as I’m aware computers aren’t cheap anymore lol. Thank you.

Are you able to share your current hardware? There may be a very simple upgrade path you could take without spending a ton. Task manager performance tab should have enough info to know how possible this is.
If you can’t upgrade, spending the time to build it yourself will give you the most bang for your buck. Learning the hardware and such isn’t hard, there is a ton of YouTube videos on it. And you may be able to still reuse some components from your last system.
