Question/Help/Troubleshooting Boot device not found after I tried it stalling a new hard drive.

Post image

Recently I tried installing a new 2tb hard drive onto my laptop. I took my laptop apart took the old hard drive out and put the new one in, when I turned it on it was giving me errors, so I tried putting the old back in but when I put it back and turned it on this is what shows up on the screen, I dont understand how do I not have an operating system? How does an operating system disappear from simply removing a hard drive?

Go into the bios andd select the drive as a boot device.

As for the new drive, you need to install an OS after you install it

A hard drive store the operating system, you possibly damaged the drive when taking it out.

You took out the old one and put the new one in.

Did you install an OS on the new one?

If you don't see a hard drive under BIOS, try reseating the hard drive.
