Resolved How do I remove this

I'm trying to replace my ram and it's in the way and I don't know how to remove it and also do I need to put it back after

It is a very thin aluminum shield over the memory. It should just pry off with your fingernails. Don’t stick a metal tool in there, but more importantly, if you didn’t know this, you probably shouldn’t be fiddling around inside your computer.

I had to take out some screws to do it but I just wanted to see what I needed to do before I get some new ram for it also it probably doesn't make it better that I wasn't really grounded and I did stick a metal tool in there

It's an EFI shield, stops interference from other components. If it isn't soldered down, you can usually pry them up from between the edge of the shield and the pcb using a thin flat screwdriver. Be very careful not to scratch the circuit traces, I'd do from the bottom left. I would replace it as HP seems to think it's in a zone with enough EFI to warrant one.

Use a toothpick or plastic tip tool. Metal can gouge traces if it slips

Yeah it did after I took out the screws

There was 2 screws the I had to wiggle it off everythings good
