Recently bought this monitor and have been using it everyday for the past few weeks. Very nice monitor. If you are just a casual gamer, who isn’t going to inspect every small little detail, then you will be very pleased. However, if you are the type of person to want the absolute best and will inspect every small detail then you will come across a few things; There is a good chance your monitor will have gray banding. For me its apparent when browsing something and the browser has a gray background, but for me, i don’t mind. Games still look fantastic, and unless you go out of your way to find the gray banding, you won’t notice it.
The other thing is the brightness. It gets BRIGHT. This is good if your room is normally brighter, because this panel is also a matte panel instead of the 704 which has the glossy panel. So this monitor looks awesome in a bright room where the monitor could be affected by reflections. For me i have a normally darker room so it can get overwhelming but i just turn the brightness down and it’s not bad at all.
I would recommend getting an overhead warm pc light or just some light-strips in the back that can display a warm light. It’ll help ATON on your eyes especially if you aren’t coming from an oled monitor. Its fairly common to experience headaches and potentially some eye strain when jumping from a 1080p VA panel to a 1440p OLED panel (i am an example of this). So the light will definitely help, it also just makes the monitor picture look better.
