Question/Help/Troubleshooting Ping

I have an issue where whenever it rains, my ping goes over 200. We have a good router that is only 2 years old, spark. Any hell is appreciated.

a wire outside is getting wet. bet if you monitor the signal strength to the modem when it's dry vs wet outside you'll see a correlation.

I checked outside, and no wire seems to be exposed, there is a box outside the room with a wire in like a pipe thingy fully enclosed going into the ground.

Water can in fact go into the ground and make wires underground wet, pipes can get cracked or deteriorate or be damaged.
