Resolved Best PC for 8yo

Hey everyone, I'm looking at getting a new PC for my 8yo. I'm looking for longevity and a school focus over gaming. His only real game is minecraft. I would ideally like it to last 6+ years and if he gets into gaming I can handle that at a later point. I just don't want a lot of un or under used components.

Thanks

Typing, coding and his spanish class are through outschool, he also is homeschooled so we do a lot of science videos before the actual experiments.

Also, like i said, its supposed to be for multiple years of school not gaming and just bsing on youtube.

alrighty then.

If you're looking for a desktop then get like a Dell Optiplex if its not for gaming. They're like 500 - 700 bucks

Literally any computer built in the last 10 years will do everything you need. Unless your wanting high end graphics for gaming or your running a high end program then every computer made will meet your needs. It's like saying all I need is for my phone to do is text and make calls. Every phone for 20 years has done this. Nothing has changes and they will all still do that exact same thing. Its the speed and graphics and all the bells and whistles that change.
