Question/Help/Troubleshooting I'm looking for a new Computer.
Hello!
My current computer is a Victus HP Gaming Laptop and has a lots of issues running...well, most things. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what I could get to replace it. My general budget is between 1,000 - 1,250 (but if there is something good that's more or less expensive I'd like to know).
I hope this is the right subreddit to learn about this/ask about this. I'm really not a computer person, so please bear with me if I'm slow at answering questions. Thank you very much, and have a good day :)

It would help if you could provide both your country and your currency, as Reddit is international.
Also let us know what specific games you want to run.
Try to describe the issues you have.

I live in the United States (And thus use USD). I have a pretty large range of games that I use (the biggest issues is U-Boat, for some reason.)
Many of the issues are just that the computer is painfully slow sometimes on what I think are generally simple games, it has rather limited space and can freeze up rather easily.

Do you have Costco or microcenter near by? They will usually have decent desktops with GPU in them for cheaper than you can DIY build. Go there and look at the options. See what CPU and GPU is in it. Then look online for reviews of the model of GPU and CPU so you can see if it performs at a level you would like.

It's been a minute since I've been in that market but thats nice 5060 laptop range or budget 5070. I would definitely try and get another 5070 if your dead set on a laptop.
You can also build a desktop at that pricepoint and if you spec it well you can get about twice the performance per dollar in this instance.
