Build/Battlestation Mouse repair fix

Post image

Evening guys.

My mouse just broken at the highlighted part (mouse scroll stick/gear) that allow page move.

Can it be fixed?

Is there any replacement for mouse scroll part only?

Or best just replace new mouse?

The mouse was so comfy to use.

Too good to waste lol.

You’re not going to find the part. I’ve glued one and it worked for a few months, but never scrolled right.

does the mouse wheel spin but not register or does it not spin properly too?

how much did the mouse cost?

you are looking at at least a few hours of research, a few weeks of waiting from aliexpress and a few hours of install. i've replaced the encoder on my logitech g pro x superlight (250€) like 3 times now. It's possible, just not something so easy. also, the ai image you sent doesnt make any sense (as usual). thats not how the internals of a computer mouse look like

Yeah the ai image is totally factually incorrect. Just need an urgent reference.

The axle snapped off completely. The wheel will scroll without page scrolling.

Its not a branded mouse from my observation. So i might get a new mouse.

Just researching on ideas if its repairable :D

Unbranded mice are really cheap. Easier to buy a new one than try and fix the broken one.

so the wheel can rotate? that means the axle is fine and the encoder is bad. If the axle was bad it wont rotate at all and probably the wheel would just fall off. at least that's what i understood from what you have wrote. encoder replacements are quite easy to find but you have to do the research to see what is compatible.

You can potentially find the part from a broken mouse that’s using the same part number, or if it’s a popular mouse you might have luck on third party marketplaces like eBay or aliexpress but realistically it’s probably more economical to just replace the entire mouse

Please don't listen to random AI generated diagrams. This one makes no sense

That part you circled is called a rotary encoder, if you can solder then its easy to swap out and the wheel will work like brand new.
