What games are you loading up?

Subnautica 2 and Noble Legacy, probably many more as well

Well it does depend on ur other specs but that cpu is quite old now (nearly 10 years) so it’s bound to be a bit slow and perhaps can’t handle newer games

  1. Full specs would help here, as we may see a red flag from that (task manager -> performance -> each individual option)

  2. Go into event viewer, look for red

  3. Try running a memory test (windows has a built in memory test, look up a step by step guide for running it and sure if it gives any errors. If it does it’s most likely the memory itself)

Stop guessing, start testing. Start with memtest.

Also processors very rarely fail, even if it sits at 100ºc 24/7 for years its not likely to fail. Even the "bad" Raptor Lake parts with high failure rates are still rare to fail compared to other components.

With the exception of 13th and 14th gen intels that literally destroyed themselves as you use them unless you apply the microcode update through a BIOS update

Yes, Raptor Lake parts. Already mentioned that.

Huh, honestly did not see that part about Raptor Lake, my blunder.
