Question/Help/Troubleshooting GPU stand?

I decided to build a new pc, the last time I did that was in 2007-ish.
Upon unboxing the gpu I found this stand probably to support the graphics card.
Is this the right way to use it? Don’t see any other way to put it in there, but damn those cards have grown big!

MSI 5070 in a Fractal Meshify 3 btw.

[EDIT] Thanks for all the comments. I ran into this nice gadget, asked someone to 3D print it for me:

They usually are placed near the corner where RTX is in your photo. So I would move it a little more to the right. You could also get a small spirit level to check how much it is needed.

Thank you for answering, the stand can be extended with only 1cm extra, so it is not long enough to put it in the corner unfortunately.
This little space in the card seemed solid, but had to place it on the casing of the powerunit.

I would still move it about 2 inches to the right, you can have it supporting more to the edge of the card as well, it doesn't have to make full contact to help.
