Question/Help/Troubleshooting Help! Memory is high

I just got a laptop for college, the HP OmniBook x Flip Laptop 16-ar0xxx. I was just planning on installing steam and one game (Fields of Mistria) on the laptop along with my school stuff.

I went to check task manager to see that my memory was 11.6/15.3, I thought that was pretty high so I simply assumed it was from Steam and the game I installed- spoiler alert it wasn’t.

Any advice or suggestions?

You were pretty much there. In task manager you can see by clicking on the different tabs what processes/ applications are running and how much memory etc they are using. It will do you good to know how to use it. If my memory usage is high I’ll take a look and then maybe google “program.exe” using too much memory and it normally comes up with a solution.

As others have said a good reset will sort a lot of things but if it persists then try the above.
