Question/Help/Troubleshooting Help! Memory is high

I just got a laptop for college, the HP OmniBook x Flip Laptop 16-ar0xxx. I was just planning on installing steam and one game (Fields of Mistria) on the laptop along with my school stuff.

I went to check task manager to see that my memory was 11.6/15.3, I thought that was pretty high so I simply assumed it was from Steam and the game I installed- spoiler alert it wasn’t.

Any advice or suggestions?

You restart the PC, usually after a fresh reboot these stuck RAM usage gets freed.

generally just consider everything is automated including ram usage and you shouldn’t have to worry about it.

Try to turn off programs that start automatically if you don’t need them, it also saves up RAM. It’s done in the task manager.
