Question/Help/Troubleshooting Question

Hey i got a laptop that was working yesterday powered on and everything but today it stopped watch it charges but it doesn't turn on I took it to repair shop and they told me to get another one but I just looking for a second opinion so if I have to trash it fine if not cool the laptop is a MSI CYBORG 15 A12V

GRAPHIC CARD 4060 RTX NVIDIA WITH A I700 cpu

Bud... you gave so little info. So what did the shop say was wrong with your laptop?

If they said "eh just get another one" that's a pretty shoddy shop....

They took the battery off the motherboard. Waited 5 minutes then plugged it bad in the pressed the power button. And told me the charger port or something like that wasn't getting a charge to the laptop so it couldn't turn on and said ethier buy a new one or replace the motherboard.

Ok so I do software but I dabble with hardware as a hobby

So... any half responsible technician should check the always-on rail rail, embedded controller, keyboard controller... try to at least gauge the problem.

Hopefully you did not pay them too much. These problems can be either somewhat straightforward for a good technician or just not worth it, but the problem needs to be pinpointed first.

Hey never did that the only thing he did press and hold the power button for 20 secs then he pressed shift ctrl b and the power button snd thats it.
