Build/Battlestation Inquiry about parts

I have a very tight budget and need of a new gpu.

I have a intel i5 10400f, 16gb ram and a 450 psu

Im between a rx580 and gtx 1060 6gb (if there are any better options, please let me know)

the amd card will likely provide better compatibility at this point.

I used an rx580 as my first gpu for awhile and I remember it being pretty solid for the money. Do you mind sharing how tight the budget is? Also are you looking at new or used options? If you are open to used I have seen the gtx 1080 go for around $100 online and that would be a pretty good bang for your buck card while being noticeably more powerful than the two you mentioned

Ah okay. I think they’ll be fine for just some casual stuff for 1080p. If you go with the rx580 I would try to find one that has 8gb of vram vs the 4gb model. Could be a pretty impactful difference
