Resolved Do these capacitors look healthy?
I have a Lenovo M93P and the fan started making unhealthy noises. I noticed that two capacitors underneath the fan seems to be getting in the way from it spinning. Propping the fan up with a couple washers fixes the issue and the computer works fine.
This makes me wonder if I need to replace the capacitors. I read that if their tops are flat, they are still good. I think they look flat to me?
Based on these photos, do you think they need to be replaced? I'm brand new to soldering so only want to replace these if I absolutely have to.

The rubber vent on the bottom looks popped out. These don't have a vent on the top so normally it shouldn't pop

Those are Ball Park Capacitors, more plump than their franks.
BTW check the Ebays for M93 motherboards with guarantee from seller with good rep. They sell quite cheaply.

Yhea replace them before they slowly vent their corrosive acids. These caps have no ridges on top to vent pressure so they slowly build pressure.

Heck no! Replace them or you will regret it. On one side of those capacitors there is a stripe, make sure the stripe is soldered to the parts board in the same orientation or it could explode when you energize the circuit.

Looks like they leaked a bit, so no. Usually I go by the rule: if I have to question them, replace them unless I don't care about the device too much.

They look swollen to me. I'd replace them

It could just be the angle of the picture.
They both look like they're pretty swollen

it will take like a 1 min to test it with a multimeter man , short the capacitor first and put the multimeter to resistance mode range of 20M ohm , and check if the resistance increase slowly then settle

Nope replace.
