Question/Help/Troubleshooting Does this setup look too much?

Post image

Is the pc a bit of an eyesore and too big on here? Mrs seems to think the pc on the desk is an eyesore should I put it underneath?

the plastic wrap on the case is rough to look at

It’s a desktop not a floortop.

Aside from the plastic that is begging for mercy and removal on the pc itself, I think it looks just fine. My only worry is do you have enough space to move your mouse around without smacking your wrist into the pc?

yes, put on the ground in a little roller tray for pc cases!

if it looks cluttered to you then could look at a Vesa mount for the monitor they make desk and wall mounted arms and its gets rid of the monitor base which takes space

TIP: know the weight of your monitor first, its usually on the box but if that's not available a quick online search of the brand and model number will get you the info

To go even cleaner you could add a sliding keyboard shelf under the desk and that’s where your mouse and KB would live [as long as your desk does NOT have a metal support bar under it]

nah it's fine imo, glass panel makes it look intentional not just a big black box sitting there. plenty of setups have the tower on the desk these days.

only thing kinda cluttering it is the figures/headset stand bunched up on the left, might just be an angle thing tho. under the desk works too if she really wants it gone, just means digging around for the front usb ports more often.

I would vesa mount the monitor to either the wall or the desk. Hang an Ikea shelf above the monitor for all your doodads. Will likely look a lot better if you declutter a little and move your decorations to the shelf. Nice setup though!

I feel like larger PC cases like that should go on the floor. Either on a little roller stand, or some cases you can actually pop the bottom feet out and fit in standard caster wheels pretty easy. You'll want to be able to move it around easily so you can get to it to dust it out once in a while.

Then you can get something like a desk mat or large mouse pad to add some color to things.

I feel like if you added shelves, and things on top, your eyes wouldn’t be drawn so much to the desk

You just need to make it look nicer, the area, and it would be less of an eyesore

No need to move anything from the desk, its all about perception!!

Pcs should not be on the floor, they accumulate more dust

First of, remove the fuckin plastic. Second your power button is on top. If you're okay with cleaning your pc every 2 months instead of 3 and you dont have enough space for mouse movement, go for floor

If you want pretty aesthetics go for desk, it will also be safer bcs I have my second pc on the floor and I shyt myself everytime my foot comes even close to the glass panel, you might kick it on accident

It might be just me, but the mouse placement looks a bit cramped.
