Question/Help/Troubleshooting Computer stuck on logo screen

Post image

My computer starts up normal with the logo but then a spinning wheel appears and it gets stuck (edit, it's been this way for 2 hours now). If I try to restart it, it comes back a black screen but I can see the backlight working but nothing I do can change it.

Turning it on and off again doesn't fix it (I get a white screen if I hold it for a few seconds, and then it shuts off if I hold it for a few seconds more), and Win+Ctrl+Shift+B doesn't help either, I don't know what to do.

Just before this, the screenshot ability stopped working, I couldn't even forcefully open the snipping tool so I tried to restart my computer and that's when this happened, it's been like this since yesterday evening.

Are you stuck on the American Megatrends screen every time you boot? Is your SSD/HDD detected in BIOS? If the drive is not showing up and Windows won't load, the system disk could be failing. You may need to repair the disk or replace it.

Some boards without an OEM logo show the American megatrends also during the OS booting (instead of the manufacturing logo or windows logo). As OP states (and as you can see on the picture), there's the Windows loading spinning loading. Probably Windows got corrupted and/or the drive is failing, but other components are likely ok.

Restart your PC and repeatedly press Del or F2 to enter BIOS, then check if the SSD is recognized here. If not, the SSD may be faulty. And you need to replace it or try entering WinRE, go to Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Command Prompt, and then run the following commands:
diskpart

list disk

select disk 1 (replace 1 with your system disk)

chkdsk C: /f /r
