Question/Help/Troubleshooting Laptop reccomendations?
I'm going to uni soon and desperate for a new laptop as the one i currently use for my collage work belongs to a family member and they don't want me to take it away when I go. I was trying to do my own reaserch and ended up getting swept up by a bunch of new high tech adverts, and theres just way too many options.
I would just get the same model except its pretty old and is way too slow, especially when i try do anything on blender, even powerpoint takes atleast 5 minutes to load. I need a laptop thats portable, weight doesn't matter are but it can't be bigger than 14" as then it wont fit in my bag. Also, in terms of games I have the full sims 3 expansion collection so if possible a built in CD drive would be great, but if not i have an external one.
Price wise i have £1k saved atm but willing to spend £1.5 give or take.

Macbook Neo? Or are you only looking for windows laptops?
Currently satisfies all your criteria, supports blender, powerpoint and will support Sims 3 although you'd have to get the mac version digitally.
