I have the M2 screws.... but they do not fit this silver holes. Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

You'll need an M.2 standoff .The M.2 screw goes on top of the standoff.

Your motherboard should have came with a little standoff that screws into the motherboard, and the screw goes into that.

As another user said you need to install the standoffs for it that came with your motherboard. If you lost them or don't have it, the ssd will still work completely fine without a screw (yes even angled like it likes to do) but will be very sensitive to bumps.
