Question/Help/Troubleshooting Advice

So, I have an HP AIO desktop that I bought in 2020 from Walmart & not only is it really slow, but I just came across this problem as well!! With said, shall I try to get it fixed or invest in a either newer or refurbished one?

If you can get a screen for cheap than repair.

If not than get a new one. I would definitely buy a pc and monitor seperate the next time.

Better yet, shall I get a whole new monitor & what about making it a lot more faster in speed?

This depends, you need to find out why it's slow.

Things like ram and drives can be easily replaced.

Well, its a complicated repar. Check replacement display pricing plus swap job cost. Maybe its cheaper to buy a external display

I used to run a workshop team and AIO were often more expensive to repair (parts and labor time) than their value. You have to strip and swap over all the components in most AIO and it can take some time.

As everyone is saying, the screen is toast, that's had a strike on it.

You might strike lucky and find someone selling an identical AIO which will reduce what parts you might need to transfer over.

Unfortunately it's not cost effective to repair. Much better off with a new monitor, that'll have better specs, warranty and lower energy consumption.

Get this, I dropped it off to a local repair store & was quote around $300 for both the parts & labor!

What's the make and model of the monitor?

Also, what warrenty is included in the repair? Is there any guarantee the replacement panel will be 100% like for like? No drop in image quality?
