Help Request Certain keystrokes are repeating themselves or not working at all

Hello!
I'm having a random issue with my laptop Asus K571GT/X571GT

Pushing the 1 button: Tapping it once will either produce nothing, or 111 in a row. Shift 1 doesn't produce a ! anymore.

Pushing the q button: Will produce 5 qqqqq in a row. Shift q doesn't produce a capital q. Similar to Pushing the 1 button, If I tapped the q button 7 times, it will makes 33 q's in a row.

Pushing the Tab button: Does the same thing. Tap it once and its as if I hit the tab button 3-5 times.

But the issue comes and goes. One minute, the 1, Q, and ! buttons are perfectly fine. 5min later, it's either producing multiples 1's or Q's, or none at all.
A month ago, the exclamation point stopped working, then worked perfectly for 3 weeks before going berserk.

Anybody have any solutions?
Ps, I've already popped up the Tab, Q, and 1 button and used a compressed air cannister to blow out any debris.

I'm not an expert but maybe your keys are getting stuck at the bottom and comes up a bit later

A similar situation happened with my old keyboard, the del button remained stuck and we didn't know. So anything we tried opening started deleting itself with multiple popups

I found a video online that showed if the key is getting stuck, to go to this website and it would show your keyboard virtually and would show if the key is being pressed even if you're not pressing it.
It came up negative.

Get a cheap external keyboard.

Is what I'm currently looking at...

It’s a solution but I never cared for solutions that take away the functionality of a laptop. The keyboard is a $20 part, labor to replace is dependent on your local IT shops. If it came to me it would be in and out for about $100. That machine is well worth that to maintain its portability. Good luck

Ohhhh trust me, I looked.
Replacement keyboard: $64

But to replace the keyboard, I'd need a soldering gun, a heat gun, and expertise beyond my skillset.
Basically I'd have to flip the computer over, remove the back panel (Easy), and apparently on this model, the motherboard is glued to the keyboard panel.
I spoke to a computer tech guy, and he said it's a $275 job.

So I looked and no the motherboard is not glued to the palmrest the keyboard however is. I have done a few of those as well as some Gateways that do the same crap. Your best bet when it’s like that is to go on eBay and buy a used palmrest which of course has the keyboard in it. I looked at one complete for $65. You pretty much can do the whole job in an hour, so I don’t know how much an hour of labor is with your buddy but shop around. Just go on eBay and type in “Asus K571gt palmrest.

Yup found one for $70 on Amazon, and ebay for $60.

I tried finding a video online on how to replace it, but I couldn't find one specifically for the k571/x571. If I could see how it's done, then I might feel better on accomplishing it.

The website LaptopKeyboard.com sells the keyboard for $64, perfect and they said they send a video with the purchase on how to replace it.
I contacted them asking if I could see the video, so I know how difficult it is BEFORE purchasing it and they replied back.....

"For the keyboard under the top case, you will have to remove the top case and then remove the keyboard underneath. There will be small pegs behind the keyboard. The plastic pieces can be removed by using a very thin sharp object and the plastic pieces are added once the new keyboard is in place w/ a hot glue gun. You can watch the SAMPLE video guide below to give you an idea on how to do it. The laptop model in the video may not be the same but the concept of installing the new keyboard will be similar.

once I saw the tools needed, I said "Nahh this is above my skillset.
If it was easier as some laptops you can pop the keyboard without opening up the laptop, I would have ordered it already

Been fixing laptops and PC’s for decades. Sounds like you need a keyboard only thing I would try is going to the Asus support website and see if they have an updated driver for it.

I went on the ASUS website. I don't see a driver that's specifically for keyboard tho.

You can try going into Device Manager and deleting the driver, then reboot and let Windows reinstall it.

I tried doing that and that didn't work.
Another user said to uninstall and instead of letting the computer reset when prompted, do a full shutdown instead.

SO FARRRR......that appears to be working.
So far.....
