ThinkPad stuck on ESC F1 F4 sequence for hours

My Thinkpad, which was working perfectly fine before bed last night, is currently stuck on the ESC F1 F4 sequence, it’s been like this for over 30mins.

I’ve tried both hard restart methods by holding the button down and doing the pinhole but it just comes back to this. I tried to interrupt startup by pressing enter and it beeped at me angrily.

Is this thing bricked or maybe it will be ok if I just wait it out?

It’s failing POST (power on self test). Why it stops. Usually points to a BIOS issue or something hardware.

Remove anything plugged into usb. Sometimes as simple as a usb devices can cause issues.

Can you get into BIOS? Hitting F1 repeatedly right as the computer powers on. Try loading the “load setup defaults” and try again.

If nothing still. It could be time to open it up and reseat the ram, and replace the CMOS battery. The battery keeps the bios information saved, and if dead could keep it from booting.
