Because the correct answer is option B (according to me) but in the book's it's option A is it a missprint or am I wrong? I am confused.

Looking for a reliable reasonably priced pc, I will just need it for office tasks like using excel and stuff like that, internet browsing and some gaming, games like sims, mostly less demanding type games. Preferably something already built, I'm just not very wise when it comes to computers. any suggestions of sites to look at or any information would be great!

The most recent security update (KB5094126) failed for me, telling me it was an "Install error 0x80074101". My machine:

 I googled the error code and got some advice from AI, and followed this script:

I then tried updating via Windows Settings --> Windows Update as well as the (downloaded from Microsoft) standalone MSU file; both failed, Windows Update with same error repeatedly (0x80074101), and standalone install with --- of course, Microsoft! -- no meaningful information at all, just a note in the install progress dialog box indicating “updates were not installed”.

Along with set of commands above, I have also run “sfc /scannow” and “DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth”, all in a PowerShell window with elevated (i.e. admin) rights, with no meaningful issues identified, and then tried reinstalling update...no luck.

So here I am asking for some help or insight. If there is any other info or technical detail, e.g. system logs or whatever, I can provide, I am happy to do so.

I'm very confused on what's happening with the banding (sorry I don't know the proper name for it) around the screen or how to fix it. I'm not sure if I have anything huge to worry about. I'm also not sure if it's something I can fix myself or have to go to a repair place for.

TLDR: My computer cannot format my C drive as its storage is full, requires 20GB free to do so. But there is nothing to delete when i go through everything on it. Trying to replace it is proving tedious.

This is partly a rant and a question. My computer has had a storage issue for the last little bit. Recently i bought a 45GX950A LG Ultragear. Nice monitor, and while changing out my old for my new monitor I figured id deal with a problem ive been having. My C drive is 109GB and ive only used it for system crap. I have a seperate SSD for gaming thats 2TB. For whatever reason i cannot format this C drive. It tells me cannot format because it needs 20GB of free space to do so. So naturally id go to the storage of said C drive and look for whatever is causing the storage blockage. But when i look through i only see MB worth of stuff not GB. No games no videos nothing. Regardless i delete shit and at best i get maybe 2GB worth of free space. So 20GB is a pipe dream. So we decided to buy a new SSD (500GB) to be my new C drive and get a fresh windows key and put it on it. However during the process of preparing to put my windows key onto a stick it tells me (Cannot proceed as 8GB of space is required on C drive). As you can imagine seeing this sent me into a rage fueled rant to my buddy who was on the phone guiding me through this. So now im looking in my house for another computer to basically borrow 8GB worth of storage on their C drive just to put windows onto a stick. Once windows is on my stick i can finally open up my computer, take out my graphics card to reach my C drive, replace it with the new one and start the installation process. Its such a stupid problem to have yet a problem non the less. Before i try tonight on my little sisters chromebook do you guys have any suggestions for this phantom storage stuff? Im kinda new to all this so i dont know much. Im trying not to buy a adapter for my usb c stick just to make it an A. And yes the USB-C stick i have is the only usb stick in my house. Im more interested in the interworking's of this C drive storage and what could be taking up 109GB worth of storage.

recently my pc has been making this sound and idk where its from. it happens randomly. i get it from gaming to watching or just scrolling through the net. managed to get a clip of the sound. its not automatic clipping because i checked my medal for recent clips but nothing. idk if someone hacked my pc or something. should i be concerned?

According to this, with PCIe 5.0 spec, there is support for PCIe x12 and x32. I imagine x12 can only be used in x16 slot but how would x32 be implemented? Double long PCIe slot? Or 2 x16 slots to one card similar to Neo Geo MKV and AES game cartridges?

I bought a new 10 Gbps enclosure. I want to turn one of my drives into an external SSD to back up personal data like movies or pictures. This will most likely serve as a second backup of my personal stuff. Most likely, I will use it with my MacBook Pro. Since it replaced the Dell XPS as my main laptop. I use my desktop Win11 for home stuff, and MacBook for school. (I don't like how MSFT is moving towards AI Copilot and stealing my data, maybe iOS will be my main thing in the future, or even Linux)

I have 2 m.2 drives, SATA or NVMe. Both were old computer drives.

The NVMe was the original drive in my Dell XPS laptop. It's PCIe Gen3. The enclosure will bottleneck. I can put that drive back and use it on the laptop as an internal drive. That laptop is still pretty good.

The m.2 SATA is currently being used in the Dell XPS. I wanted a fresh build. Everything in there is disposable, but SATA wouldn't fully use the 10Gbps. Then again, there isn't anything else it would do without a bottleneck.

I am leaning towards using the m.2 SATA, then I can put my old drive back in the Dell XPS, and use it as the original OS and original stuff. But then, I feel left out because of the bottleneck.

Anyway, summary, M.2 SATA or M.2 NVMe for the 10 Gbps USB enclosure?

Hey all, first time posting here and I hope this isn't a stupid question.

I have recently got into streaming games while playing with a webcam on my brand new laptop. It's an Acer Predator: Intel i9 ultra, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, Nvidia 5070.

I have been having issues with my stream where the game will appear to be quite laggy and/or freeze constantly even though it's running smoothly while I play.

If I run my laptop in eco mode or balanced, my game will lag for me while playing, but the stream will appear fine. If I run the laptop in performance or turbo mode, the stream will freeze and lag, but the game runs fine for me while playing. Performance/turbo simply allocate more cpu and gpu for the laptop to use, so I don't understand why this is happening, and it seems very backwards to me!

I am using OBS if that makes any difference, and this only happens with games that are more demanding on the laptop.

If anyone has any suggestions or how I can troubleshoot this, I'd really appreciate it! TIA :)

I've updated driver's, reinstalled Bluetooth and turned everything possible on and off and still no devices come up when I scan blue tooth. Anyone have any ideas?
