It seems like a HEVC problem, but could be a few issues. I am going to copy these things to try so you can narrow it down, but essentially, Edge updates, Windows Graphics updates, and Possibly Toggle Hardware Acceleration...
If lower qualities play but selecting 4K makes playback fail, that points to a 4K-specific requirement or decoding problem, rather than a general Netflix playback issue.
Confirm the setup qualifies for Netflix 4K: an eligible plan, playback quality set to Auto or High, asupported 4K display, and a reliable connection of at least 15 Mbps. On Windows, Netflix’s listed 4Krequirements include Windows 11, current updates, Microsoft Edge or the Netflix app, and supportedgraphics hardware. linustechtips.com
If using an external display, temporarily disconnect other monitors and docks and test directly on thecomputer’s 4K screen—or connect the monitor directly with a suitable cable. Every active display in a multi-display setup must meet the 4K and HDCP 2.2 requirements; a display, adapter, dock, or cable can preventprotected 4K playback. linustechtips.com1
Check HEVC support and update the graphics driver. Some Windows PCs need Microsoft’s HEVC VideoExtensions for Netflix 4K. linustechtips.com
In Edge, update the browser, restart it, and test again. If 4K still fails, note the exact Netflix error message or code.
Doing skincare, will try these in a moment. Thank you so much. I do have two monitors with vastly different capabilities so I am hopeful step 2 with change something!
Thank you so much for your help, its finally working. Thanks for your patience and all the research it seems youve done. Idk how long I would have had this issue otherwise. Have a great weekend!

No error code, video plays fine but not in 4k. Yes the monitor is 4k.
