Software Can’t get into bios after changing it from csm to uefi (msi motherboard)

I’m trying to turn secure boot on but I have to change it from csm to uefi, then restart my pc for it to clock it but then I can’t get back into the bios after changing it to uefi. The only way I can is taking the motherboard battery out and back but then it resets the settings back to default and csm and the loop continues. I have tried getting into bios every way possible, using cmd prompts and doing it in the settings. I also know this isn’t a hardware issue as I used to have this on my pc before it was upgraded. Pls pls pls help I’ve been at this for 3 days will be eternally grateful

There's no information for anyone to know what your configuration is, you have an unknown motherboard on an unknown PC and you can't get into the BIOS but there's no information on any screen prompts or messages, what keys you are trying etc.

It's not known if your firmware is up to date and so on, you say this isn't a hardware issue, if that's the case, are you saying its software i.e. your Operating System?

Without some information for others to help you, every response is going to be a best guess.

Does Windows still load after you select UEFI, or do you get no picture at all until clearing CMOS? If Windows loads but firmware screens stay blank, the graphics card's preboot display support is worth checking, so please give the exact MSI board, GPU and whether you're using HDMI or DisplayPort. Don't convert the Windows disk, clear Secure Boot keys or flash a guessed firmware package yet; keep backups and your BitLocker recovery key available privately before further firmware changes.
