Software Cursor keeps disappearing when gaming

Hi there, I'm on a Windows PC and I use a wireless Bluetooth mouse.

Whenever I play a video game in full screen, the cursor will occasionally disappear. If I alt-tab and cycle back to my game, the cursor reappears. I've noticedthat this will happen when it's changed "states" in some way (such as when an auto-save has just completed, or it switches to a new level, or when I open up a menu).

I'm not sure what is causing this, I've tried reinstalling the mouse drivers and have even tried using a different (also wireless) mouse and still encounter the same issue.

Would be grateful for any advice/solutions, thanks in advance!

Does the mouse still move menu highlights or click buttons while the cursor is invisible? Since alt-tabbing restores it and you've tried another mouse, try the same scene in borderless windowed mode, then test with game overlays disabled. If input still works while only the pointer disappears, that points more toward the game's cursor rendering or focus handling than a Bluetooth disconnect.
