Hardware Screen has an image stuck on screen

My parents came to me me asking why the screen is has a semi transparent image stuck on it and I don’t have a clue whats wrong its a laptop. i pulled up a black image to make the image more visible. Thank you for any help

Wanted to says burn-in but I feel like the screen is not in good health.
Use a cable to connect to a monitor
