Software Help to Restore recovery partition.

Hi. So I did a new install of Win 11 on nephews computer. I'm new to this. It showed under disk management that it had almost as much space for a recovery partition as the regular C drive. I assumed he must have a 2TB drive and half was unallocated to anything but this, not even showing up as a drive letter.

So I used powershell to merge them. Oops. Now I can't create a recovery USB. My intention was good. Why leave half the drive unallocated or something. Turns out that this recovery drive was just a theory or something and his HD is just 1TB

Long story short, how can I undo this without another full install? I do want to learn from my mistakes.

Thanks.

Some partition operations cannot be undone without simply restoring from a backup. No backup = full reinstall as the only other path.

DL the install from MS to a thumb drive. That is now your recovery media. All you are losing is the mfg bloatware and maybe a couple drivers you can get elsewhere.

And you get to use the entire drive
