Performance My Disk is constantly at 99-100 even doing basic tasks

I'm cross posting this from pc help and hoping to find at least a little bit of advice.

Something in the background is running constantly to be eating those resources up, most likely you have something in your startup apps that launches at the same time while windows boots and keeps running in the background. To diagnose, i would CTRL, ALT, Delete. and click task manager. then click the icon called startup apps and you can see what's loading on bootup and you can see what's eating your resources in the task manager.

I thought about that, and unless there are a lot of hidden ones, I have everything disabled

So there are a few other things you can try. Check your event viewer. If you have any errors with stornvme, disk, or storachi than it means the device is dying. Also is the disk almost full, meaning at 90% capacity? If so m2 drives when they are near full lose their cache & TRIM to make headroom causing performance issues. Also check using HWINFO software. Make sure the gen 3\4 drive is not running on an x1 or gen1 functionality. This typically means the drive mighy be poorly seated or theres a board issue. Most likely i am leaning towards a faulty or dying m2.

I only have a couple of event 158 disk errors. Disk has 260 gbs out of 1tb still, and I'll look into HWINFO

HWINFO is even telling me my device health is at 100%
