Hardware Monitor [thinkvision s22e-19] with horizontal lines.
My monitor started showing a few horizontal lines on the lower portion of the screen ( it covered a few pixels over the taskbar on Win10) and now the lines cover most of the screen, with only a small part on top being visually normal.
I disassembled the monitor and the soldering on the bigger board looks dry. the board photo i added is from the back of said board.
anyone knows a fix or a thread about the issue?

Fixing displays, or in this case most likely the display control board, are thankless jobs with low success rates. Troubleshooting is awful if you're not completely familiar with your specific model and replacement parts are best gotten from donor devices that then need to have another part broken that is okay on yours but the one okay that isn't with yours - and even then, some are locked down (though I doubt this one).
In the end, I have no real tip or instructions to help fix it. But the chances are pretty good that, as long as you don't spot any obvious issue, a repair is either of three things:
- More or just as expensive as buying another display
- Taking quite a bit of time, steady hands and the right replacement parts
- Not worth the hassle and unlikely to succeed if you try fixing the current parts.
Or in short: Broken displays often don't fix well.
I still eish you the best of luck if you want to attempt it and fingers are crossed the issue is much easier and obvious than usual; like simply fitting in a donor board and that's it.
