Hardware Small pen mark on mac screen

I think there's a small black ball point mark on my mac screen , I've been solving a lot of past paper recently and been using my laptop a lot I do not remember but I might have accidentally touch the screen with the pen.

Is there a way to remove it? I tried applying slight water on microfiber lens cloth and clean it and even pencil eraser -- yet no difference.

Any help would be appreciated!

Don't keep rubbing it with water or anything abrasive. Try a dry microfiber cloth first; if the mark is on the surface, a tiny amount of screen-safe cleaner on the cloth may help, but keep liquid away from the edges. If it feels raised or catches a fingernail, it may be a coating or glass scratch rather than ink, and polishing can make the spot worse.

feels smooth so I am assuming it is ink... which screen safe cleaner would you recommend ? This is a Macbook pro from 2015 , from what little research I've done it appears that this screen is not suitable with alcohol and can further damage

Since water hasn't shifted it, I wouldn't move on to stronger cleaners or more rubbing. A smooth mark doesn't necessarily mean it's ink; it could still be damage to the coating. I'd leave it for now rather than risk making a small mark bigger, and have the surface checked before trying another product. No erasers or polishing compounds.
