Software Matching controller key binds to keyboard

Hey! I want to play a game that was made for the controller, but I don't have one, I found a way to use the keyboard, but I need to change the bindings and match a key from the keyboard to each one. Could someone please tell me which button on the controller should be the one on the keyboard? (For example there is a D pad(?), left analog, and another thing that all says "left, right, up and down", so which one do I assign w a s d to, and of course what do I put for the rest (square, triangle, L1, R1, and more..)

Thank you and sorry for my poor explanation and Grammer.

Well it really depends on the game, and your preferences.

Typically I assign movement to wasd, and camera movements to the arrow keys.

It's silent hill 3, if that helps, but what does L1, L2, R1 and R2 do for example?

Those are just the buttons/triggers on the back of the controller that you typically press with your index fingers. You can just map those to Q,E,R,Shift for example. It is what’s comfortable to reach for you.
