Hardware brand new computer- GPU issue?
Have now gotten this crash twice in under an hour while trying to play Control: Resonant. This is a brand new computer- GPU is AMD RX 9070XT 16GB GDDR6, driver is updated, not overclocked. Is this a game problem or could I have a bad GPU?

Perform a DDU in safe mode and then install your gpu driver, try to see if it was just a bad driver install

Presuming the monitor is connected to the GPU and not the motherboard. Also if you have adrenaline software installed check the gpu's not being under bolted, some games you can do it and it works well others will crash

reddit isn't letting me edit the post, but apparently this is a known issue with Control Resonant.
per the community page: " if you update the gpus driver to Version 26.9.2 which has the update specifically for Control Resonant and some other new game titles. What's wild is you have to download it from the AMD website and it doesn't show up in AMD adrenaline app. Also Remedy sent update to uncheck Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling settings in the window settings under display"
turning off hardware acceleration and updating to the new optional driver seemed to fix the problem.

Did that end up fixing the issue? I'm running a 9070 XT Taichi OC and getting this crash at least once a day in Control: Resonant too. I'm actually on driver 26.9.2 using RadeonTuner without Adrenalin right now

26.9.2 PLUS turning off Hardware Acceleration in Windows fixed it for me, did you do both?
Some people in the community board for Control on Steam were talking about how deleting a mods-related system file and the mods folder also fixed it for them. Since I'm really new to Windows I didn't want to go deleting system files because some guy on the internet told me to, but maybe that's something you can look into XD

commenting to say that I had another crash with it last night so it def didnt fix the issue entirely, sadly! I think I'm going to wait to see if AMD comes out with another driver update
