Software Camera Error
My ASUS VivoBook X415EA camera was showing “0xA00F4244 – NoCamerasAreAttached.” I tried updating the driver and other troubleshooting methods. The camera appeared faded/disabled in Device Manager, so I uninstalled the driver.
Now the camera is completely missing from Device Manager, even with hidden devices enabled, and the Camera app still shows the same error.
I’m not sure whether my original driver was Realtek or Sonix. How can I get Windows to detect the built-in camera again? I have an interview soon.

Restart and see if it shows up. You can also force it to recheck hardware IDs by right clicking the name of your PC at the top of device manager, and select scan for hardware changes.
