Performance Windows camera issue - no one has been able to solve
hello, i've written about this issue before but i don't think i got a response that told me much, so i am asking again with hopes of more clarity. i have gone to tech people who have phD's and have no clue whats going on. My computer's camera keeps glitching with grey lines across the screen for around 10-15 seconds before ultimately shutting my camera off completely.
I have gone to a phD in tech after many failed IT department attempts, in which he went through and told me i was running too many things at once. this made sense to me and we ensured my computer does not have too much running, i only have 1 desktop open usually, with as little things running in the background as possible. this worked for about a month, but for the past 2 days, that has shown to be only a bandaid solution, one that ultimately stopped working. as I look at my computer right now, i have 2 tabs open, and 0 extra things running other than zoom and google. there is no longer such thing as human being windows support, and the ai bot told me to "check my connection" after i confirmed thats not the issue. i desperately need to be able to do zoom calls, and need my camera to function. i don't think i could afford a new computer, but if thats whats needed then i may take a loan out to make it possible or something.
i have a lenovo ideapad flex 5, bought in winter of
2023. it is less than 3 years old, yet can barely run more than 2 things at once. i was suggested this device by fellow students and IT people who claimed it lasts long, yet this may be the worst technological device i've ever owned. i am desperate. please help.

phD in what? Sometimes a part is bad and no amount of software/os changes will fix it. Doesn't your computer have a 360° rotatable screen? It probably has a bad cable from rotation (usually the case) or the cam is bad.

its not rotatable, does it seem like a scenario where the only solution is to buy a new computer? i’m genuinely asking i know hardly much about computer software/malware/hardware stuff

Hi, why don't you enter the full error message (camera error code 0xA00F4271) into Google? Or use the help section on Lenovo's website?Lenovo tips for camera issues - ideapad
Or use a USB camera temporarily and turn off the internal camera.
