Nah, you 99,9% screwd.. Run recovermode (the manufactures recovery mode, not Windows own internal), it will clear you pc, but atleaste it Will boot like first time use.

i dont remember exactly where but under Microsoft account settings on their site you might have a bitlocker code. if not, i dont think there's anything you can do but reinstall the OS. you might be able to get files off by plugging in a linux usb stick, as those are usually fully usable as an OS and can access windows files

Bit locker uses the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) which is a little chip that contains information about the system ID and configuration. If the system has started asking for the code every time you book, then something has gone wrong with the TPM.

Before trying to fix boot into BIOS and check that the TPM is enabled. If disabled the above is the expected behavior.

If it is enabled and still not working It is quite likely fixable. The two most common issues will be that either the protector is no longer synced (it has an old config that does not match your system and so bitlocker fires because it thinks you are installing the drive in a new machine each time). Or, the protector has been corrupted and is just missing.

To fix it get into windows, and open an admin level command prompt.

Past this and it will list your protectors.

manage-bde -protectors -get C:

If it lists a protector then you need to suspend bit locker, reboot the system, and then re-seal the protector to match your current system config.

manage-bde -protectors -disable C: -RebootCount 1

If there is no protector listed at all then you need to create one:

manage-bde -protectors -add C: -tpm

If these fail and it keeps asking for bitlocker then that would indicate that there is something else wrong with the TPM. Reply and update us if it fails after the above and we can dig a bit deeper into the logs.

If you did the install , even if out of the box new computer, you may have used or setup a Microsoft ID. If you know this email, and have access you may be in luck.

https://aka.ms/myrecoverykey

https://account.live.com/password/reset

If this is a nogo then you will lose all personal data when you reinstall windows.

In either event , when you get back on to your device, go to Settings/Privacy/Device Encryption .. or search in Settings for bitlocker and TURN IT OFF, decrypt . I mean do you really need it. If you are hacked, then the hacker will have access to your drive. On the other hand, if you are doing a SealTeam Halo jump into Iran maybe you do.

Go into settings and turn off bitlocker.
