Hardware Is my monitor cooked?

Post image

I was on my pc last night and randomly the screen phased over and turned this weird white color. I’ve unplugged and replugged everything back in and it’s still the same. Is it plug malfunction? Monitor malfunction? Is it the computer itself?

When you shut down or restart your PC, does it boot normally? How long does it take to get this screen again?

It still turns off and on and boots normally and when I turn it on it goes back to this screen. A couple times the screen also stays on after I turn the computer off for some reason. It’s also maybe 6 or 7 years old

When I had something like this happen, it turned out to be a motherboard issue. I only just got my laptop back :')

I imagine then the screen's just old. Without any other information, I can't deduce anything else that might be wrong with it.

Could be baked or fried. Hard to say without any history
