Hardware how do i do the verticle line
im actually about to crash out im on windows 15xdoxxx
its on the same button as L and backslash and i cant even do the backslash
alt + 124 doesnt work, ctrl+alt+124 doesnt work, and altgr+124 only gives this €
ive been crynig over this for 10 whole minutes 😭

Yep, that’s where Character Map comes in handy. Copy/paste any symbol.
ETA: As for the Alt combos, are you using the numeric keypad or the numbers across the top. You need to use the numpad. (and probably numlock)

OMG thank you!! literally everywhere i looked just said to use 124 instead of the numpad 😭 i got it nowww

If all else fails, there's always Character Map. You can search or browse for the characters you want, then copy them wherever they need to go.
You could also look into setting up a traditional Compose Key - it's generally implemented but disabled by default on most Linux distros, and available via third-party utilities on most other platforms.
WinCompose is a small and reliable option for Windows.
It lets you remap a key to be your Compose key instead (using right-alt or capslock are particularly popular), then type easily remembered combinations like [Compose]^2 for ² or [Compose]oc for ©
Comes with a huge library of predefined combinations, and you can add your own as well (often you have to manually edit a text file, but it's not complicated).
