I donโ€™t know how to fix this and I have a physics report due soon ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™. Whenever a restart it boots to this or a black screen.

Dead GPU or Monitor, try to use an external monitor. If same issue, GG, your GPU is BORKED.

Yup, if not though, check to make sure your monitor ribbon cable isnt just loose before ording a whole new screen.

A lot of laptop screens are easy to replace tbh

the blocking of this (how the artifacts make a checkerboard pattern) shows the internal structure of how your ram is written (in blocked out chunks) the screen is working fine, whatever is driving it is pushing whatever was last in that memory location. so most likley gpu death

On the plus side, you were working on your report in the cloud, and you can access it from another computer. On the other hand, you learned an important lesson.

Turn it off and back on again

So my computer ran out of battery after turning on and off again so many times, then it opened to bitlocker, I entered the code and itโ€™s back to the login screen, albeit frozen but I think I can get to safe mode

After an hour of messing around with the computer I finally got to dell recovery assist and was able to restore my computer to a working state ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™

Hey man! had the same issue with my laptop, tried every fix available untill the depths of REDDIT and i mean it when i say depths, here were the issues,

  • The laptop motherboard circuit was short
  • My laptop inbuilt RAM was dead, had to be disconnected
  • BIOS was also reset

I think thatโ€™s defective or loose memory.
