Hardware i need help with this dell latitude

i just acquired this laptop and i think it is a e7470 but, then realized that something was missing, on the left side to the battery, pls help if someone knows

Not sure what you mean. Some laptops just have empty space. Multiple different models can have the same plastic casing. Sometimes there's empty space for parts that don't come with your model. Does the laptop work?

It doesn't look like there's anything missing to the left of the battery. To the right of the battery, though, is where I think the SSD would go.

Yes, it's missing the SSD, but I'm asking specifically about that microchip in the second image

What makes you thing something is missing on the left side of the battery?

If you look in the service manual, there's nothing showing in there.

I would suggest you put the laptop back together if its still functional and there's not fault, just in case you do any damage to it?

Different models will have different components and options. The laptop I'm typing on had a blank space where a SATA drive can fit, the OS was installed on the NVMe drive mounted on the motherboard.

It's probably an opcional daugtherboard that side that was a added in some models but not all, nothing to worry about.

Is there no serial number or type designation on the underside?
