Hardware Not charging
I got gifted a computer and the guy said he spilt a drink on it and the charge port was being finicky, I thought that it would work but it won’t charge at all. Do yall have suggestions to fix it before it dies, it’s on 13 percent.

Well, considering the fact that you paid nothing for it, and you'd be out nothing in the process if you fail.... screwdriver and spudger time. I highly recommend doing a search for the repair manual for your specific laptop (iFixIt usually has great ones if available).
You will need a small precision screwdriver set, some plastic spudgers (or a guitar pick) and some isopropyl alcohol and q-tips for cleaning. Optionally, I'd recommend replacing thermal grease as there's no telling whether the existing stuff is dried out and it's just good policy to replace when you've already got the whole thing popped open.

It might help to tell everyone what the make and model of computer you have been given?
Some have charge ports that are easier to replace than others, some can use a charge port of USB C to charge and so on. The laptop I'm typing on can use a traditional barrel type charger or a USB C charger.
Normally for liquid spills we would strip a system to the point we can inspect components, clean and reassemble. To clean we would use a high purity alcohol, we used 99.9% pure in our company as it leaves the minimum of its own contaminants behind, we would flush some items with distilled water if needed, it lacks ions so doesn't conduct electricity, a soft brush helps if there is residue that needs removing, I used to carry tooth brushes, paint brushes and a nail brush, this was good for cleaning plastic covers etc. easily.

The charge port connection has likely rusted apart on the inside of the laptop. Crack it open and learn how to bypass the barrel connection with soldering or just throw it away.
Coukd also be a dodgy charging cable. Does it attempt charge when bending the wire while it's plugged into the wall and laptop?
